Father/Son Weekend Retreat to Deer Lake
On the weekend of September 16-18, 2011 there will be a father/son retreat at Deer Lake Campground in South River, Ontario.
This will a great weekend for men and boys from West Highland and other churches to get together to learn about God and experience His great outdoors. This weekend is for fathers and sons but grandfathers, uncles and others can come with a boy too.
The weekend will feature times for Men Leading Boys in activities like canoeing, archery, BB guns, going on a hike or building a model rocket. There will also be dirt biking. There are times to do things as a group and lots of free time to make your own choices.
The highlight of the weekend will be times around the camp fire and devotions in God's Word. The speaker is Dave Peppiatt from Oshawa. He is the Founding Director of the Refuge in Oshawa, a ministry to homeless and at risk
youth.
