MINISTRIES
John 4:23 says that we are to worship the Lord in "spirit" and in "truth". This act involves both the heart and the mind. Worship is our response to the revelation of God. We exist to help people experience the presence of God through the arts. Whether through word spoken, note sung, character portrayed, or technological equipment operated, we desire to make the "Word", Jesus Christ, fully known!
Let me invite you to become part of this exciting ministry of praise. If you are interested in participating in one of the groups listed below, please speak to me, or the leader indicated.

Tapestry Singers Adult Choir
Kids' Choir
- For children in grades 2 to 6.
- We participate with the entire STAR Kids ministry for a Christmas production, as well as often a full-length spring production.
Worship Teams & Band
Special Music Ministry
- For youth to adult ages.
- We participate as solos or small vocal groups during many worship services.
Orchestra
- For youth to adult ages.
- We play once per month for the morning worship music, as well as occasional musicals.
- Any orchestral instrument is welcome!
- Rehearsals are Tuesdays at 7:00 PM leading up to the 3rd Sunday of each month, from September to May.
Academy of Music
The Music Department at West Highland offers instruction by Christian teachers in piano, various orchestral instruments, guitar, drums, conducting and theory. Lessons are available both to those in our church as well as to the surrounding community.
Drama Ministry
Soncatchers
- For people of all ages.
- Actors, narrators, make-up, costumes, artists
- We participate in seasonal productions as well as occasional sketches.

Technical Ministries
Do you have skills behind a video camera, lighting console, computer screen, or sound board? There are many opportunities for ministry within the technologies.
