Coronavirus

From Pastor John's Desk

Dear Church Family

As the news develops daily about the COVID-19 virus we have been taking steps to ensure that West Highland is following the latest guidelines set out by Hamilton Health Services.

As you enter our worship and ministry centre this Sunday you will notice that at all exits and entrances there will be hand sanitizer stations. Our washrooms will also be stocked with lots of soap for hand washing. In addition to this, one of our Deacons, Bruce Dorman has organized a team of people to regularly clean handrails, doorknobs, and other commonly touched areas. Toys used in the Kid’s ministries will also be regularly sanitized.

As a people who love Jesus and love each other we want to continue greeting each other warmly but beginning now and for the near future, let’s use elbow bumps and hand waves in place of handshakes and hugs. If you or a member of your household are experiencing flu-like symptoms, please join our 11:00 a.m. worship service on line at westhighland.org/live.

In recent days we have experienced God’s blessings as a church in our offerings for the mortgage, in the baptisms and testimonies and the wonderful Concert of Prayer last Sunday. We are excited about worshipping together again this Sunday.

Let’s be in prayer for our government and all the efforts here at home and all around the world that are being put in place to resolve this situation quickly.

In Christ,

John Mahaffey
Lead Pastor
