Hi STAR Kids and Families!

What a joyful week anticipating our STAR Kids returning this coming Sunday! Only four more days until we get to see each other at church and in the clubhouse!

With glad hearts, we all thank the Lord that the safety measures in place last fall prevented any transmission of Covid in the church building. STAR Kids will diligently continue the same processes and safety plan as previously introduced in the following video link: https://www.westhighland.org/starkids As well, a new online screening for all people entering the building is being implemented by West Highland. A link to this screening will be emailed on Saturday evening to all who have registered for services. You may complete one online screening form for your entire family from the comfort of your home before you leave for church. Please be prepared to give confirmation of this screening when you enter the building. Thank you for your continued commitment to protecting the health and wellness of our church family.

After you complete the screening, don’t forget to check in your child using the Church Center App. The new touchless check-in process ensures our kids arrive at their classrooms quickly and smoothly.

Programs for all STAR Kids are open this week at 9 am and 11 am including Nursery (0-2), Toddlers (2-4), and the Fellowship Hall (SK-Grade 6). You must share our excitement because spaces are filling up quickly. You may register your child for the room where they will spend the service here: https://westhighland.churchcenter.com/registrations And more good news, the kindergarten room will be reopening on Sunday, March 7. Details regarding this classroom’s reopen will be sent out soon.

The STAR Kids Online Family Worship Service continues to be recorded during the 9 am service and broadcasted online at 10:15 am. There is a chance that your child’s smile may be caught on camera, so if this is your first time back at 9 am, please be prepared to sign a special broadcast permission page when you drop off your child.

Outdoor temperatures have dropped since we were together last which means our STAR Kids will arrive with extra layers of clothing. The children are asked to bring their outdoor clothing into the classrooms with them. As pick-up needs to occur in a timely manner for cleaning purposes, we will ensure that your children are dressed in their gear and ready for you when you arrive to pick them up at the conclusion of the service.
