A. Purpose

The purpose of this Policy is to outline criteria for the West Highland Fellowship Baptist Church’s website.

B. Website Objective

The objectives of the website are:

1. To spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.

• This website is to complement our other ministry endeavours in reaching those around the world with the good news of Jesus Christ. In addition to edifying, encouraging, teaching and equipping Christians, it is to be used to preach and disseminate the Gospel by means that will attract the lost to share in the joy of salvation found in Christ.

2. To communicate with our membership and adherents.

• We shall further use this website to enhance our ability to communicate with our members and adherents in the distribution of information that is imperative for us to function as a corporation, making it readily available, as well as keeping everyone current of special needs and concerns.

C. Website Guidelines

In supporting a website the following guidelines shall be adhered to:

1. There shall be a ‘Website Team’ consisting of the Director of Worship Arts, Director of Tech and Media, a supporting staff member, and a deacon. This team is to work on furthering the objectives pertaining to the website. This team shall have at its’ disposal a budget in order to purchase software, hardware, etc. in order to keep the site current and secure..

2. The Website Team shall develop, implement, review and modify accordingly a procedure(s) outlining in detail content, checks, and other significant issues pertaining to the website.

3. The website and website team will operate within the Worship Arts Division. Any major issues or concerns are to be reported to the Director of Worship Arts. .

4. Division Leaders are responsible for overseeing and maintaining their ministry’s section of the website quarterly. Division Leaders may have content editors who report to them and assist in updating the website.

5. A disclaimer shall be written and posted on the site absolving West Highland Fellowship Baptist Church of any and all liability for information that is on this site that may not be current or may be incorrect.

6. In addition to laws and government regulations the website is to follow any standards referred to in our ‘Incorporation Documents” as well as to maintain the highest ethical standards as set forth in Scripture.
