Learning To Pray With Jesus: A Study of the Psalms
How did Jesus pray? How did Paul pray? How did the 1st Century church pray? Paul told both the Colossian and Ephesian churches to “speak to one another in psalms...” This gives us a hint as to what some of their praying looked like. The Old Testament Psalter was the prayer-book and worship hymnal of the synagogue and the 1st Century church. As such, it breathes fresh notions of prayer and praise into the church of all times, including our own. Our study will explore the depth and breadth of the wide ranging voices of the psalms preserved for us in God-breathed Scripture, and given to us for our public and private expressions of worship and piety.
