Dear West Highland Family, 

As events with COVID-19 have developed over the past few days, the Elders have established an Action Committee to coordinate our responses to this situation. In response to the recommendation of Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer to temporarily suspend all large events and public gatherings of over 250 people we have made the very difficult decision of cancelling our public worship services this Sunday, March 15. However, this unprecedented decision does not mean that our worship is cancelled this Sunday. We are encouraging the whole West Highland family to join a full on-line worship service at 11:00 A.M. This will give you and your family members a unique opportunity to participate together in a full broadcasted worship service with singing led by Pastor Lee and our Worship Team and a Bible based message from Pastor John. During the on-line worship service, Pastor John and the Chair of our Elder’s Team, Paul Gerics, will also update you on the Action Committee that will continue to monitor the changing situation over the coming weeks and make other decisions as needed. To help us spread this news please contact your friends, direct them to our website and encourage them to join us on-line tomorrow at 11:00 A.M.

These challenging days present us with great opportunities to show our trust in the Lord, to be strong in our faith, to share the Gospel of Christ with others and to be much in prayer for a speedy end to this situation here and around the world.
