Welcome to STAR Kids!
West Highland STAR Kids ministry teams partners with families to introduce children and young people to Jesus and His Word, equipping each generation to live and share their faith effectively and navigate the challenges of life within their generation.
We want all children and young people to know that they are safe, loved, called, and capable. And God has a purpose for them.
"We will speak the truth in love. We will grow up into Christ in every way."
Providing a time of worship, fellowship, and discipleship for the children at West Highland.
Registration: Parents, please note you will need to formally register your child (up to Grade 6) if they are going to be part of any STAR Kids ministry. Come and see us at the Children's Welcome Centre (inside Entrance #1), where you can register and obtain a name tag for your child. This tag also serves as identification for you as the parent/guardian when you pick up your child.
Nursery (0-24 months), Preschoolers (Age 2&3), & JK/SK (Age 4&5): Kids in these programs will be checked in by their parents and will spend the service participating in the classes for their age group. A nursing room and a change table is also available for use.
Grade 1-6: Kids in this program will be checked in by their parents prior to the service and will be dismissed during the service to come to their program. Kids will be directed by a STAR Kids volunteer to their classrooms. Parents can pick up their children in their classrooms located in the lower level.
** As of January 13th, 2019 Children in Grade 6 will attend the Impact (Middle School) Sunday School Class. **

What do I do when I arrive with my child?
Come and see us at the Children's Welcome Centre (inside Entrance #1), where you can register and obtain a name tag for your child. This tag also serves as identification for you as the parent/guardian when you pick up your child. You will be taken to the appropriate classroom by one of our volunteers.
My child(ren) has a diagnosis and/or medical condition. How do I go about letting his/her leaders know to receive the support my child(ren) may need?
Here at West Highland we want to ensure that every child in our program has the support that he/she may need to have a safe and fun time. If you have concerns, please contact our Children's Ministry Director via the contact form below.
What do I do if I would like to become a STAR Kids volunteer?
Please use the contact form below or speak to Kim Beaman, Director of Children's Ministries, in person. We will gladly speak with you about serving opportunities and guide you through the process of becoming an approved STAR Kids volunteer.
