is a growing demographic within Canadian Society. Learn the basic beliefs of Islam and how you can love and interact with people of the Islamic faith.

THE NEW ATHEISM - Dr. Gord Heath
[Professor of Christian History, McMaster University]
Gord Heath 2Does religion really poison everything? Is raising a child to be a Christian a form of child abuse? Is Christianity irrational? Over two classes, we’ll examine claims often associated with the rise of New Atheism, a movement led by figures such as Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens. The class will include a summary of New Atheism’s claims, as well as present critiques of core New Atheist positions.

Venues to practice what you've learned:

  • Neighbourhood - You will be introduced to means of engaging your neighbours with the Gospel.
  • Inner City - You will have the opportunity to learn how the Gospel intersects with compassion, poverty, and social justice.
  • International - You will learn about different religions, experience religious sites, and spend time face to face with someone from another religion.

Classes are held at West Highland on Sundays at 6:00 P.M. starting March 31.
Religious site visit dates to be determined (one weekday a month and one Saturday). 

Cost is $49.
Registration deadline is March 17, 2019.
