The former Augustinian monk Martin Luther wrote, “The letter to the Galatians is MY letter. To it I am, as it were, in wedlock.” With a profound understanding that this New Testament letter addressed the vital issues of the church in his day, he wrote his commentary on Galatians and it quickly became the Manifesto of the Protestant Reformation. The problems Luther struggled with long ago are not unlike the same things we wonder about and wrestle with today. Among a variety of religious authorities espousing different teachings, how are we to know who is right? How do we know what and whom to believe or not believe? How can we be made right with God? How can we, living under the pressure of a “do whatever you want and be whatever you want” culture, live lives that are pleasing to God? ONLY ONE GOSPEL, a preaching series by our Lead Pastor, John Mahaffey will answer these important questions and expound the timeless truths of Galatians’ central message – the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
